The trim of a 3DS and the sketchbook cover of a roommate’s sister, both collected while I was at her house over the break.

We got a Wii U!  It is very exciting.  I’ve been futzing around on it with a roommate and it’s a lot of fun.  They’re using the tablet function in a bunch of really cool ways.

For all it’s newness and modernness, URBN Center can pull off some good old-fashioned creepy sometimes.  I was walking through it tonight.  It seems that most of the lights are on some kind of motion sensor.  I say that because, as I walked through the halls long after dark, the lights slowly flickered around me.  Creepy.

Happy thanksgiving, internet!

So today I partook in thanksgiving dinner with a family not my own.  I’m very thankful I was invited to.  All the food was delicious and it was nice to be among happy people.

I’m still sleepy from the food, with The Next Iron Chef on tv.  Life is good.

Coming to you from my roommate’s house (same as where we went for the hurricane) today.  Travelling was nice.  Did some people watching as we chilled at the train station.  There were all sorts of people travelling, and I could tell just by looking at some of them that they were going to loved ones.  It’s a nice thing to see.

Today at work someone brought donuts.  I don’t know who, and I don’t know why, but there are some things in life you just appreciate.

Anyway I tried a few flavors of donut holes.  The red velvet was okay (lots of food coloring) but the darker brown-but-not-chocolate one was better.  Mmm, sugar.

Keeping it consistent.

Okay so this is from the internet but it is super cute and in line with a type of simple animation style that could help me with my final project:

Core mission: Pray to the iTepp, the god of earbuds, to ensure they don’t get super tangled.

Name: The Divine Promise of Order (In a Life of Chaos)

Recruiting: Promise a life of easy music that is also free of sacrifices*.

Do’s and Don’t’s:

  • NO HEADPHONES
  • Have a music device at all times
  • Take care of your music
  • Leaders sit in a net woven of earbuds, Silent Age
  • Rank determined by how many earbuds you can untangle
  • We accept all.  Except deaf people.
  • Tone deaf people are accepted, but can never become leaders.
  • Meetings: an mp3 is posted, and everyone gets together and begins listening to it at the same time.
  • There is an intricate dance that involves weaving among other members.
  • You must always be listening to music
  • You must wear a red hat on the first Tuesday of every month.
  • Annual bake sale to raise funds.

Managing members:

  • Severe punishment: Covering the ears with duct tape
  • Reward system: Good Behavior means more music
  • Being given a large mass of tangled headphones is a great honor, shows you are trusted.
  • Finding your own headphones tangled is a sign of unfaithfulness
  • Breaking the Red Hat rule is grounds for immediate expulsion

Logo: Yin Yang with earbuds.

Because I don’t know how the numbering goes.

My apartment went to the Han Dynasty today, as a sort of early thanksgiving celebration before we celebrated with family (I’m going with one of my roommates to her house).  It was delicious.  I’m not one for spicy food, so I had to keep away from some of the dishes.  The scallion beef though, was tasty, and our pork belly appetizer (though that one had me reaching for a drink — a little heavy on the spices for me).  It’s a place I enjoyed, and will definitely go to again.
