Praise iTepp

Core mission: Pray to the iTepp, the god of earbuds, to ensure they don’t get super tangled.

Name: The Divine Promise of Order (In a Life of Chaos)

Recruiting: Promise a life of easy music that is also free of sacrifices*.

Do’s and Don’t’s:

  • NO HEADPHONES
  • Have a music device at all times
  • Take care of your music
  • Leaders sit in a net woven of earbuds, Silent Age
  • Rank determined by how many earbuds you can untangle
  • We accept all.  Except deaf people.
  • Tone deaf people are accepted, but can never become leaders.
  • Meetings: an mp3 is posted, and everyone gets together and begins listening to it at the same time.
  • There is an intricate dance that involves weaving among other members.
  • You must always be listening to music
  • You must wear a red hat on the first Tuesday of every month.
  • Annual bake sale to raise funds.

Managing members:

  • Severe punishment: Covering the ears with duct tape
  • Reward system: Good Behavior means more music
  • Being given a large mass of tangled headphones is a great honor, shows you are trusted.
  • Finding your own headphones tangled is a sign of unfaithfulness
  • Breaking the Red Hat rule is grounds for immediate expulsion

Logo: Yin Yang with earbuds.

Source B: The opening text of Mass Effect 3: http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/155/2/c/mass_effect_3_opening_text_by_pk_chan-d529qq8.jpg

Final result:

Let us discover then, you and humanity,

When the universe is spread in against the years

Like a place etherized upon a species;

Let us overshadow, through certain peaceful streets,

The muttering future

Of restless pasts in one-night idyllic hotels

And sawdust reapers with oyster-shells:

Races that follow like a sentient argument

Of dark intent

To find you to an organic question …

Oh, do not return, “What is life?”

Let us accept and make our leaders.

Praise, Accelerator, Problematic

Possible Titles:

  • The Problematic Acceleration of Praise
  • The Problematic Accelerator of Praise
  • Accelerating Praise Problematically
  • Problematic Praising of Acceleration
  • Acceleration’s Problems and Praise
  • Covering the Problem of the Praise of Acceleration
  • The Accelerating Praise in Problems
  • A Praising of Acceleration and its Problems
  • An Accelerating Praise of Problems

Possible opening lines for Acceleration’s Problems and Praise:

  • I’ve always found it difficult to deal with complements, which made my ascent to internet fame particularly traumatizing.
  • Moving forward, we can only wish to have a little of our knowledge gained from yesterday.
  • It was free-fall, literally and figuratively.
  • I’m not much for philosophy, but there’s something about plummeting from sixty stories up that’ll inspire someone to think.
  • Well here we are.  Me, with sixty stories to fall and you to poke about in my brain.  It’ll be peachy.
  • Where did it all go wrong?  Not ever counting falling off the building, it was wrong long before then.
  • As the fence broke and I tipped over the edge, I suddenly developed a penchant for philosophy.

A journey to the center of the mind game, taking place as the person falls off a building and flashes back on their life.

The man has prepared a delicious mother’s day breakfast, with a beautiful flower to add to the plate.  On his way to deliver it, some hobos have caught the sweet scent of the pancakes and made chase.  He has left it with you, after removing one pancake, in the hope that he can distract the hobos by luring them into an alleyway and leave them with that single pancake.  He will then return for the rest, and complete the delivery to his mother.
